What this covers
This policy explains what Vorlyth collects on vorlyth.com and why. The product is a guitar app. The store sells license keys. Questions: support@vorlyth.com.
What we collect
- Email address, after you ask for a confirmation code and again when Stripe confirms payment.
- License records: plan, key hash, machine id after you activate, dates.
- Stripe checkout id and customer id for paid orders.
- Optional referral code from a ?ref= link.
- Referral desk accounts: email, password (held by Supabase Auth), and your cut.
- Download notes: the buyer email if we have it, a short hash of the IP, and the browser string.
We do not ask for your card number. Stripe handles the charge. We do not sell your email list.
Why we use it
- To confirm you can open the inbox that will get the key.
- To take payment and send the VOR- license email.
- To activate and check the key from the desktop app.
- To issue trials, move a license, or revoke a leaked key.
- To count installer downloads and pay referral cuts later.
Who else sees it
- Supabase stores licenses and sends the confirmation code (their SMTP).
- Stripe takes the payment.
- Resend sends the branded license email after a paid order.
- Cloudflare R2 hosts the Windows installer.
- Vercel hosts this website.
Each of those parties has its own terms. We only send what that step needs.
Cookies
- vorlyth_ref: referral code, about 60 days.
- vorlyth_email: signed proof you confirmed an inbox, about 12 hours.
- vorlyth_buyer_email: set after a paid checkout so the download can be tied to you.
- vorlyth_admin: staff vault only.
These are first-party cookies for the store. We do not run ad pixels on this site.
How long we keep it
License rows stay while the key can be used or supported. If you want your email removed from download logs, write to us. We may keep a paid order record where the law or Stripe requires it.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct an email, or ask us to delete data we no longer need to run the license. If a key is active, we still need enough of the record to honor or revoke it.
Buying and keys are also covered by the Terms of use.
